Open day and auditions, on Friday July 24th, in London.

You are welcome to come and meet us, our students and staff, see how the Academy operates, take part in an audition for our 2010 training course and watch an evening performance.

The auditions will be quite informal. First, we'll give you some information about the Academy and our training and ask you to complete our application form, then there will be a work-out and a short workshop, to help us make an assessment of your present fitness and skills. You will be encouraged to present a sample of any skills you're working on, either as a brief demonstration or as a short presentation piece, and this can include anything that will introduce you to us. Many applicants join us with no previous skills or experience, and none of the activities are intended as a test that you will pass or fail - we've never turned anyone down through lack of existing skills or strength. Each applicant will also be offered a short interview, during which you may be asked about your background experience and the skills you are interested in developing.

You will be able to meet and discuss our training with our current students and staff, see how the Academy works and look at the travelling accommodation we offer, and you will be welcome to stay and watch our 6pm performance.

If you are not in the UK or cannot attend an audition, we will continue to accept video auditions on tape or dvd from both UK and overseas applicants, and now is the best time to start your application process for next year. Application forms and videos should be sent to ACA, Circus Headquarters, Enborne, Newbury RG20 OLD.

TRAVEL
College Farm is just off the A406 North Circular Road, near the junction with the A1. The nearest tube station is Finchley Central on the Northern Line. The station is 10 or 15 minutes walk from College Farm, and the No. 82 or 260 buses go from near the station and stop right outside the circus.

OTHER STUFF
There are plenty of coffee shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs in Finchley near the station.
