Run away to the Circus!

The Academy of Circus Arts offers a full-time residential training course, performing most weekends at festivals in England between April and August. Join us for a fun five months trying a variety of circus skills - ideal for an exciting gap year - or as a professional training opportunity, working with world-class tutors. We welcome applications from overseas students.

Students can start performing from the very first show of the season, alongside our teachers who are professional circus artistes. There are opportunities to work in a real circus Big Top, learn how to rig a trapeze or tight-wire, improvise and experiment to learn presentation and build a relationship with an audience.

You do not need to have any circus or performing skills or any previous experience to join our course. Skills on offer include trapeze, aerial silks, tight-wire & slack-rope, acrobatics, juggling, hula-hoops, rola-bola, clowning.
