Zippos Circus presents FROM CART WHEELS TO STEEL WHEELS: a spectacular new circus show for 2009. Britain's best-loved travelling company brings a show full of the fire, passion, thrills and excitement of the circus to your town.

This magical new production recreates the golden era of the traditional horse-drawn travelling circus, then follows a journey through circus history to the very latest dare-devil circus acts, including the legendary, and dangerous, Wheel of Death.

Zippos Circus Highwire Circus dare devil, Chico Marinhos, the fearless high wire walker from Zippos Circus, recreated one of the most famous and "eggstraordinary" open air feats of all time on Wednesday 10th June 2009, in Glasgow's Queen's Park Recreation Ground.

Without any safety equipment and exposed to the elements, Chico took to an outdoor high wire 80ft from the ground above the Big Top, and when he reached the centre point he stopped and cooked himself an omelette.

This highly dangerous feat was first undertaken by legendary wire walker Charles Blondin, the first man to walk on a tight rope across the Niagara Falls in June 1859 - 150 years ago.
